Easter Thoughts

I keep asking myself, what is Easter all about? I know the answer, but there is still doubt. Why all the new dresses with pink bows and new hats? Why the cute little bunnies and the furry little cats? Why all the new suits for sons and dads alike? Why all those colorful ties and matching handkerchiefs on the side? Why hide eggs so little kids can find? Why have a special dinner for the family to dine? Why gather grandmother, grandfather, aunts, and all? Why not have a tree that stands tall? Why not roast a turkey or some other bird? Why not get together and say a special word? Jesus rose from the grave. Isn't that the real reason? Jesus rose from the grave. Isn't that why this special season?
